Artificial Intelligence Technology - AWS unlocks a new AI service experience

Amazon Transcribe now supports Chinese Mandarin

Amazon Transcribe is an automatic speech recognition service that makes it easy to add speech-to-text functionality to your applications. Amazon Transcribe now supports speech transcription in Chinese. Previously, Amazon Transcribe already supported languages include: US English, UK English, Australian English, Indian English, Spanish, US Spanish, French, Canadian French, Italian, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Hindi, Korean, and Modern Standard Arabic.

This new set of languages expands the scope of Amazon Transcribe to enable use cases in contact centers, media and entertainment, education, and more to reach a wider audience around the world. For example, you can now use the service to create Chinese movie subtitles or generate Chinese call center records for customer service analytics purposes.
